Welspun India Limited has rolled out an organisation-wide program, Manthan, to nurture and promote an entrepreneurial work culture. The initiative aims to encourage employees across departments, functions, offices and manufacturing units to come up with impactful, innovative and adoptable ideas aligned with business goals. The collated ideas are then evaluated on different parameters by three review committees including the final reward committee consisting of Dipali Goenka - CEO & Jt MD, Mr. Sanjay Gupta CFO, and Mr. Rajendra Mehta – CHRO. Dipali Goenka, CEO & Jt. MD, Welspun India Limited said, "Innovation has been the cornerstone of Welspun India's continued growth and success across the globe. This innovation is driven by the passion, commitment, entrepreneurial spirit and diversity of thought demonstrated by our workforce. With Manthan, we aim to further ignite their minds and propel new thinking that will not only contribute to the individual's but also the organization's growth and success." The program will collate innovative ideas through the employee login portal. Employees can pitch ideas across a range of categories including product development, manufacturing process development, sustainable business development, energy saving, productivity improvement, cost reduction, technology/IT upgradation and Human Resource, among others. These ideas will be examined for its impact on business goals, feasibility, uniqueness, value to the customer/organization/workforce and adoptability.
